Installation
The four steps, again.
Almost every installation problem traces back to dust. Everything in step one exists to deal with it.
1. Clean
Wet wipe, dry wipe, dust sticker. In that order.
2. Align
Seat the frame on the bezel, not the screen.
3. Apply
Peel the liner, set it down at the centre, let go.
4. Press
One firm press in the middle. Then leave it alone.
If it's a small air bubble at the edge, press from the centre outward with a microfibre cloth and leave it 24 hours — most work themselves out. If the bubble has a hard edge and won't move, there's dust underneath. Lift the corner with tape, lift the dust off with the sticker from the box, and re-seat the glass. Almost every stubborn bubble is a trapped particle, not a fault in the sheet.
Care and cleaning
A dry cloth,
and nothing else.
The oleophobic layer is 20 nanometres of fluoropolymer. It sheds skin oil for years if you leave it alone, and strips in weeks if you attack it with solvents. Microfibre handles everything; breathe on the glass for anything stubborn.

No. Sensor cut-outs come from the device's own CAD, and the glass is thin enough and clear enough that under-display fingerprint readers work unchanged. Privacy Shield is the one to ask about most often — it doesn't affect face unlock, because the sensor array sits inside the cut-out.
