About
We got into this
by breaking things.
Krystio is a small glass company in Bengaluru with an unreasonable interest in the 0.33 millimetres between your finger and your display.
A screen protector is a strange product. When it works perfectly, you never think about it once — and that indifference is the entire goal.
How we build
Four things we won't trade away.
Overbuild the invisible part
Nobody inspects an adhesive layer at the point of sale. It's also the single thing most responsible for whether a protector still looks good in a year. We spend accordingly.
Publish the number, including the tolerance
A spec without a tolerance is marketing. Ours are the ranges we actually hold in production, measured on units pulled off the line.
Make the box do the work
An alignment frame costs us more than it costs to handle the returns it prevents. We include it anyway, because a bad first minute ruins a good product.
Cut for one device, never for many
Universal sizing is the cheapest saving in this industry and the most obvious. Every fitment comes off the device's own CAD, or we don't list it.
Timeline
Seven years of iterating.
2019
A cracked screen and a bad protector
Krystio started because a ₹200 protector shattered on a ₹90,000 phone and did nothing to protect it. We ordered forty competing products and broke all of them.
2021
First ion-exchange line
We stopped buying finished glass and started toughening it ourselves. It doubled our lead time and halved our failure rate.
2023
The alignment frame
Return data said installation, not durability, was our biggest problem. The frame went into every box and returns fell by 71%.
2026
1.4 million screens
Four product lines, 190+ device fitments, and a rejection rate at final QC we're still not willing to relax.
Designed with precision. Made for clarity. If you ever want to know why a particular decision was made, write to us — someone who worked on it will answer.
